As we draw close to the end of the 2019-2020 school year I want to uplift the strength and resiliency of the Murray Hill Middle School community. No one could have imagined a year ending the way that this school year is ending, and I want to thank you for your grace as we have navigated through these unprecedented times

We understand that there are some cases in which students need to return items to MHMS or retrieve CRITICAL items from MHMS, so we have scheduled designated days and times, next week to facilitate picking up and dropping off essential items.

School supplies will be distributed at the HCPSS Grab-N-Go meal sites on Wednesday, May 27, 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The supply pack includes a single subject notebook, pencils, pens, crayons or colored pencils, pencil sharpener, eraser, highlighter and glue stick. One or two packs will be provided to each family who requests them depending on the number of students in that household.

I would like to thank the parents who were able to join us this week for one of our two Virtual Continuity of Learning Parent Information Sessions. Over 100 parents attended, and we were happy to interface with you all, respond to your questions, and provide helpful information to support your student through the remainder of this school year.

As we all settle into the transition to Continuity of Learning, we recognize that there are still many questions regarding navigating many components of the plan, and supporting your students. As a result, we will be hosting two Virtual Parent Information Sessions, to discuss Google Meets, Canvas, Attendance and Grading during Continuity of Learning. We would also like to address specific questions, regarding Continuity of Learning, that you may have.

I want to thank all of you for your patience and flexibility as we continue to adjust to our Continuity of Learning plan. I realize that there is a lot of communication, from many different sources being sent to you on nearly a daily basis, and I understand that at times it may be overwhelming. I want to remind you that the MHMS staff is here to help and support your student and your family in any way that we can. Please do not hesitate to reach out to administration, school counselors, case managers, and teachers, if you need help in navigating this shift to Continuity of Learning.
