Murray Hill Middle School Middle School Continuity of Learning Schedule / MHMS Calendario de Continuidad del Aprendizaje

Today we will begin our next phase of the distance learning model with middle school students. By 9:00 a.m. today, teachers will post assignments in Canvas. Students will submit work through Canvas by 10:00 a.m. on Friday, April 24, 2020. Regular class check-ins will follow the schedule below. Teachers will share the meeting time with students via Canvas.

Middle School Schedule Updates

On April 20, we will begin our next phase of the distance learning model with middle school students and I would like to share important information to help your family prepare. All students will need access to a technology device for approximately two hours each day.

Continuity of Learning Schedule: Revised

Dear MHMS Families, My apologies for the double messages. Please note the revised Continuity of Learning Schedule that reflects the 8-period day that we have at Murray Hill Middle School. On April 20, 2020 we will begin our next phase of the distance learning model with middle school students and I would like to share important information to help your family prepare. All students will need access to a technology device for approximately two hours each week. If your family is in need of a device and has not completed our Student Technology Survey, please complete it out as soon as possible.

MHMS Memory Book Updates: Please Read!

The Memory Book team is working hard to get our book finished for this year. However, the school closure has impacted our ability to gather photos. We would like to include pictures of some of the things student(s) are doing to stay engaged during the school closure—games, puzzles, bike riding, exercising, reading, school work, etc.

Action Required- HCPSS Technology Survey

Dear MHMS Families, If you have not done so already, please help us prepare by completing the online HCPSS Student Technology Survey so that we can assess where we are as a community, and how to best distribute the limited devices we have available for student use. More information on student technology and device distribution is available online. Thank you for taking a few moments to accomplish this important task.

Dear MHMS Families, I hope that you are all well, and staying safe and healthy. As you may be aware from Dr. Martirano’s message, that was shared on March 27, 2020 (Superintendent Message 3.27.20), staff members will be reaching out to students and engaging in professional learning throughout this week to prepare for continuity of learning.

March 25, 2020 School Closure Update - from Dr. Martirano

Dear Community: Maryland State Superintendent of Schools Dr. Karen Salmon this morning announced that she is extending the closure of all public schools in Maryland for an additional four weeks. Consequently, all HCPSS schools and office buildings will remain closed and all school-related activities are canceled through Friday, April 24.

A Message From The Principal

Today, State Superintendent Karen Salmon announced that schools across the state would be closed until April 24, 2020. HCPSS is working diligently on a comprehensive distance learning plan. School staff members are eager to continue learning while the distance learning plan is being created.
