TAKE OUR CHILDREN TO WORK DAY

Thursday, April 24th is Take our children to Work Day.  The program was created as an educational experience for our children.  It provides an opportunity for our children to become more aware of their parents’ work day and encourages them to think about their futures.  If your child is attending your workplace this week, please email MHMSabsence@hcpss.org so it can be recorded appropriately.  Please also know that instruction will continue on April 24th as normal.
 

TIME TO ORDER YOUR 2024-2025 MEMORY BOOK! - DEADLINE APRIL 24TH

Students have been working hard to create a great keepsake from this school year.  A variety of events, student groups, and activities have been included!  The online ordering system is open, and you can place your order now to reserve your copy of our Memory Book. The cost of our Memory Book is $20. Orders can be placed online following the directions below, or students can get a payment envelope from Ms. Behrens. Memory Book sales will close on April 24. To ensure you get a copy, purchase it now!

8TH GRADE END OF THE YEAR NEWS

8th Graders have received order forms for the 8th-grade t-shirt, as well as permission slips for the cruise. 

T-shirts cost $15 and can be ordered through our Online School Payment system. No order form is needed if the payment is made online. Cash or checks can be brought in with the order form to Mrs. Stern in Room 206. Orders are due by 3:15 on April 25th.

The 8th grade Cruise will be on Friday, 5/30. The cost is $72, and it can be paid through our Online School Payment System. Students should return their permission slips to Ms. Daniller or Mrs. Stern no later than 3:15 on May 5th.

HC DRUGFREE UPDATES

Drive-Thru Medication and Sharps Disposal – Saturday, April 26 in the Wilde Lake Village Center Parking Lot near the Swim Center from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. Safely dispose of prescription and over-the-counter medication, EpiPens and other sharps, vitamins, pet meds, vape devices, inhalers, and more! Need student, adult, and medically-trained adult volunteers. Earn Community Service Hours! Giving away 100 medication lockboxes. If your student is going to be absent, please send a message to MHMSAbsence@hcpss.org.  The message will go directly to Ms. Janai Beck, who manages our daily attendance.  Please take time to review HCPSS’s Attendance Policy 9010.

CLOTHING TO CASH

MHMS participates in the Clothing to Cash fundraising program. Clothing to Cash is a textile recycling program that donates money to the school for every pound of donated items. Look for the white donation bin at the bottom of the Murray Hill Middle School parking lot. Clothing to Cash will accept items in ALL conditions: new with tags, or torn, stained, worn-out knees, shoes with holes or only one shoe, backpacks, old sheets, towels, blankets, stuffed animals and more. What a great way to help the school and clean out your closets! All donations must be bagged and put in the collection bin.  We appreciate your support!
